Recovery Act Work – Water Treatment Facility Demo; Babcock Services Feature
Thanks to Recovery Act funding, Department of Energy contractor CH2M HILL Plateau Remediation Company has been able to demolish several facilities on the Hanford Site. This video shows a time-lapse of demolition of a building that once supported water treatment at the K West Reactor. The video also presents a nice feature story on subcontractor Babcock Services, which is performing work funded by the Recovery Act at the Hanford Site. Tri-County Solid Waste Material Recovery Facility
This is a video of the Outagamie County Solid Waste recycling facility located in Appleton, WI. The facility is part of a cooperative agreement between Brown, Outagamie and Winnebago Counties in east-central Wisconsin. The .9 million facility serves 200000 households and can process 25 tons of recyclables per hour.

A large crowd was on hand Oct. 29, 2008 for the dedication of Riverside County's new Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Center. California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB)Member Rosalie Mulé was on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony to open the facility in Riverside County.
